I've been playing street (inline) hockey since I was a teenager. Mostly in the neighborhood. When we all went to college that kind of fell apart.

I live in Pennsylvania and in 2006 I spent the summer in LA. When I came back I saw a posting on Craigslist for a womens ice hockey team. I thought why not! My first year was a little rough. We only had 2 practices before my first game and I missed a pretty open net shot that would have won us the game. I also fell almost every time the puck came near me!

I recently found an inline hockey rink and plan on going by to my roots and playing some inline hockey this spring/summer and hopefully more!

We just played playoffs and since we were placed 4th we had to play the #1 team in the division. Who are also the reigning champs. We haven't scored on them in the last two seasons and it's a goal of mine... and unfortunately remains a goal of mine. I had 8 shots in every spot imaginable and the goalie stopped them all.

The best moment was the end of the third period and the score was still 0 - 0 and we were short-handed... 2 lines of O and D... and they had a full bench. They ended up scoring a couple minutes into OT. But it didn't matter... we held our own and made them earn it.

I really respect the Widows team and enjoy playing them because of how tough of a team they are. Next year I'll get that goal!
